*Note: Townhouses and Apartments are rented per 4 room unit (i.e. $140-$200/unit).  We will do our best to fill all units, but room prices will increase if a unit is not filled.

LAKEHEAD UNIVERSITY ACCOMMODATIONS

Lakehead University Residence offers two different styles of accommodations. Choose from either townhouse or apartment style. All rooms include linen, pillow, blanket, towel, face cloth, plastic cup and soap.

Avila Centre
Located right on campus, Avila is close to everything you need in the city while its picturesque surroundings allow you to feel like you are away from it all. This type of setting is perfect for picnics, barbeques, retreats and walks. Avila residence consists of single rooms. Each room contains a single bed, dresser, desk, closet and a chair. All rooms are carpeted and include a small fridge, a lounge chair and/or sink/vanity.

TOWNHOUSES

Our townhouses offer a “home away from home” atmosphere, ideal for larger groups or families. Each townhouse is made up of four single bedrooms, a four- piece bathroom, full-sized kitchen, living room and dining area. Sliding glass doors in the living room open out to a patio and semi private back yard. There are telephones in each  bedroom and one also available in the dining room for local calls and internet access. The townhouses offer coin-operated laundry facilities which are located in a separate building in each phase. Barrier-free access is available upon request. Subject to availability, our accommodations offer Basic and Fully Equipped Townhouses.

Basic Townhouse:
The living room is furnished with 2 sofas, coffee table, end tables and a floor lamp. The kitchen offers cupboard space, a microwave, full-sized fridge and stove. The dining area provides comfortable dining for four or more and ample space for entertaining guests. Located on the second floor is a four piece bathroom and four mid sized single bedrooms with a study desk, chair, and a large wardrobe. Every unit is supplied with a vacuum, mop, bucket, broom, dustpan, ironing board, garbage bin and recycle bin.

Fully Equipped Townhouse:
Offers the same atmosphere and set-up as the Basic Townhouse with the following added features: Television with basic cable, dishes, cooking supplies and small appliances for meal preparation (eg. dishes, cutlery, mixing bowls, pots, pans, coffee  maker, toaster, kettle, knife set, can opener/bottle opener and tea pot.)

APARTMENTS

The low-rise apartment-style complex is located at the southern end of the campus between the Avila Centre and Bartley Residence. Lounge and coin operated laundry facilities are located down the hall from your unit. Subject to availability, our accommodations offer Basic and Fully Equipped Apartments.

Basic Apartment:
is furnished with a sofa, lounge chair, end tables and coffee tables. The kitchen offers a microwave, full-sized fridge and stove. The dining area provides comfortable dining for four with an open concept atmosphere allowing you to entertain guests. Each apartment offers four single bedrooms which contain a study desk, chair, telephone and internet connection and a dresser. The apartments have one four piece bathroom as well as a powder room with a toilet and sink. Air conditioning is exclusive to the apartments. Every unit is supplied with a vacuum, mop, bucket, broom, dust pan, ironing board, garbage bin and recycle bin. Barrier-free access units are available upon request.

Fully Equipped Apartment:
Offers the same set-up as the Basic Apartment with the added features accompanied with the Fully Equipped Townhouses.
