General Instructions The time allowed for traditional paper oral presentations is 15 minutes. Presentations will be followed by a five minute question & answer period or discussion. Final date for abstract submission is March 15, 2009. The length of the extended abstract should be no more than 1000 words. In the abstract you should specify the title of your presentation, all authors, their affiliation and country. Each abstract should provide a clear description of the topic, key research questions, methods, brief literature review and substantive results. All abstracts will be peer reviewed and participants will be notified if their abstract has been accepted no later than April 7, 2009. Abstracts should be sent in MS Word or RTF format, 2.54 cm margin all round, double spaced, 12pt, Times New Roman font. All abstracts and the oral presentations are to be in English. Water is an essential aesthetic and recreational element that attracts millions of people worldwide especially during their leisure time. Coastal and marine tourism play an important role in the global tourism business but there are also a number of well-known lake tourism destinations. Interestingly, however, compared with coastal or mountain tourism, for example, lakes are still a relatively unknown entity as far as academic tourism research is concerned.
